The bare bones (I think) is that there may be a Self or may not be, but none of the things we can point to or name or define as one are truly separate or unchanging or eternal. Everything we can even think about is either a temporary collected pausepoint of loosely-associated matter or a thoughtform that changes moment to moment & why decide this one has a name & significance but not that one?

Thank you, I'm in the same boat with the lack of resources to mental health. I'll have to look into anatta. The Japanese Kintsugi has helped me a lot. Not the same as anatta, but really helpful in coming to terms with flaws.
