I keep getting tasked to clean up after new practitioners who were sucked in by how shiny #DeepLearning is. The only heuristic I have learned in #MachineLearning for neural nets is to never use them unless there is literally no other option.

Sometimes they are amazing, but usually people learn only how fast they can go through money.
