Climbing shoe, climbing shoe, one pair of jeans, light cardigan, jog bra, second pair of jeans, dirty socks, clean tank top, scarf, heavy cardigan, chalk bag, crew neck sweater, climbing rope, quickdraw, bike helmet - wait, are people supposed to keep work stuff in their filing cabinets?
@Fritillaria2
Exactly! And this doesn't even cover my desk drawers full of food...
@compostablespork I have two drawers of clothes in my filing cabinets and a couple pair of emergency shoes. How else can you cycle in and then teach? I once made the mistake of forgetting my office key and had to teach in lycra. I was less comfortable with 'me' then, and it was truly awkward.
@lauraritchie Oh! I did that one day too and I ended up at the university bookstore buying a pair of sweatpants. Which also felt inappropriate but made for a funny story without showing off so much of my rump.
@compostablespork I just owned it 😶😉
@lauraritchie So brave! When I was in school I had a crush on a TA who sometimes taught in his spandex bke shorts, which were always comically baggy on him and endeared him to me. He also regularly left the room looking like he'd been dipped in chalk and rolled in it front and back.
Maybe your students also found you haplessly adorable.
