Would pay money for Ursula K. Le Guin and Octavia E. Butler stories in comicbook form! Do their works exist as comics yet? Does anyone need a comic project because please do this, I want to read their work so badly

I'm a weirdo with a lot of labels and I'm probably very different from you.

I'm working on starting a lifestyle blog, training my service dog prospect, homeschooling my neurodivergent kids, and running a damn household with few spoons. I actually love all those things despite having spent 99% of my life feeling chronically suicidal. It's a bit surreal, how fucking optimist I am these apocalyptic days

I created a Trello board to chronicle my training of my service dog prospect. Check it out to follow our journey together! trello.com/b/wHZVFYSW/service-

(There's also a really cool british anti-capitalist news/media organisation that's been going on for many years now and are definitely worth supporting - novaramedia.com)

The team behind it is the team that was behind AOC's campaign ad, the owner of the original Nyan Cat YT video channel has handed it over to these people so they can game the algorithm to promote their promotional videos

Sometimes I think I watch too many self-help youtubers cos I kinda sound like an asshole lol

kids while being is bloody goddamn hard. What tips do you (ADHDer on either side of the equation) have?

My tip is having a regular airing of grievances! It's excellent! Helps everyone to get on the same page, everyone to be heard, and have had time to think about their own difficulties instead of only feeling angry. Me and other adult have a meeting once a week, then w/ kids on Saturdays. We are testing having an extra long meeting w/ smorgasbord every 3? months too

I love that I'm in a complicated but excellent position to homeschool my kids. Particularly the part where they don't have to learn history according to whites, or that capitalism is good because money is good because something something, and they aren't being bullied on a daily basis for being the several level of minorities they are, plus no fucking cops in my home.

Is there a good affordable place to get patches made? I want autism ones that don't exist, plus some of my arts. Should I "just" get an embroidery machine? Cos I could like maybe swing that... and make patches for others too.

How much money does it take to buy an entire apartment building so we can have a housing cooperative? I have no idea what I'm talking about but I do wish to know

Dire Thing :autism: boosted

Now is a good time to let those shoulders drop.

Blugh have to meal plan today nooooo. If I only had that one thing to do today, it'd be fine. But so many things to do today ugh

Dire Thing :autism: boosted

the autistic trait they don’t talk about: we are all incredibly rad people

Dire Thing :autism: boosted

I really want to explore this and work with others to make it an actuality! Like lets the a lot of us move to apartments and buy some land that we can bike to, and work on our microwind power! and federated internet! and vertical farming! and teaching our kids, and producing our own medications, and so many things! My brain explodes with the possibilities! I have no idea even where to start. But I want to figure it out, with the help of others. Maybe you reading this? Maybe you over there too?

Deep Adaptation thinking honestly makes me so excited. Like a way forward that isn't running and hiding with guns like preppers, but actually adapting and creating new ways to live together as communities. My brain is buzzing with thoughts! and of course worries, but they're the same worries as always really, largely pertaining to the safety and prioritization of disabled/chronically ill folks, including neurodivergent folks.

“…we realize that excluding those who can't currently afford the price we deem sustainable can lead to a sort of "efficiency impoverishment" cycle, where those without the financial means to acquire best-in-class tools are locked in a place where they can't produce best-in-class work.”

How can I do text to speech while on Linux? I'd be fine even using a Google thing if I must (which i do use their text to speech stuff on my phone and kid's chroembook), because I need something that works solidly.
