I made #pancakes and put turmeric into the batter to make them yellow, but it made them red? does turmeric turn red when mixed with baking soda/powder?
@distel turmeric is pH sensitive, and will turn red when exposed to alkaline substances (it can even be used as a crude pH indicator for chemistry experiments)
