That said, I did find a couple of threads worth sharing in all the noise the last time I did look at . Here's one about a colonial-propaganda painting and "history" of Fort Kamloops in what's now BC, and just how many different ways the history generally accepted among settler-Canadians is full of 💩 : https://twitter.com/KamloopsArchaeo/status/1168591372296675329
(and as usual, this is a detailed particular instance of a much more general phenomenon. I know a bit about local parallels here.)
And here's a beautiful, exuburant thread about the many architectural styles of Africa: https://twitter.com/1ncognito___/status/1167748981188902914
In this instance, the shittiness of many replies is a reminder of the other reason just isn't fun any more. But if you can hold your nose over Yet Another Honky Claiming Ancient Egypt Was White™️ there are also some replies adding more photos of more regional styles to the mix.
