dinosaur time traveler, taking notes: in the future everyone is small
Every time I finish a chapter of this book I have internal conflict of like "I need to read more of it now but I CAN'T read more of it because the more of it I read the faster it'll end!" So then I end up just walking around the house holding it.
I underestimated how much reading a book with a developmentally disabled wlw protagonist would mean to me. I don't think I've ever interacted with representation of both of those things together before, this feels awesome! (Also, the book itself is really lovely and awesome, if you like fluffy romantic slice of life; it's In The Silence by Jamie Leigh McGovern.)
Hi! I guess it makes sense to make an #introduction of some sort. My name's Ellie! I'm 23 and a college student (hoping to be a children's librarian) and an autistic lesbian and I like some stuff, for example:
- D&D (esp 4e)
- Other games
- Learning Portuguese, which I am working on
- Drawing/writing stuff in theory
- Cool science stuff like space
- Learning about old computers
- Cute animals
The Tumblr thing reminded me to check out Mastodon, but I'd already intended to.
The knight looked at the purring pile, and turned to the dragon.
"You hoard cats?"
"Aren't they sweet?"
"You can't sleep on a hoard of cats!"
"Of course not. They usually sleep on me."
"You are their hoard?"
"Why so concerned with labels?"
"I don't want to fight you."

I love the default icon here! It's an elephant, that's my username! (I know it's because a mastodon is approximately an elephant and not because that's my username, but still, I like it.) I'm gonna make it purple!
