It seems like that the unicode situation isn't necessarily what it seemed, so I deleted the toot in case to prevent it from spreading anymore. Thanks for the replies!

@mutantstd So far both the flag and the symbol are still present in the draft candidates for Unicode 13, so hopefully that's just a clear rebuttal to a pointless (and ill made) set of arguments against pride flags inclusion in the standard.

Despite all the criticisms that can be made of the Unicode Emoji process, having these emoji in the standard will be a fantastic achievement, and I hope that it becomes part of the announcement early next year.
