Duckburg's nearest neighboring city according to Don Rosa:

I like the idea of placing a fictional city near a smaller one. It never made sense that Metropolis and Gotham were so close to New York (in addition to being expies of New York, which made total sense, what didn't make sense is that New York was also there).

@Sandra those don rosa Scrooge McDuck comics where my favorites growing up, so good

@conatus

My fave comics growing up were Barbie, Turtles, Tarzan, and Care Bears 💁🏻‍♀️

I got into Marvel in high school. These days I love smutty gambling manga like Kakegurui.

@Sandra Awesome, didn't even know those had comics, growing up in the Netherlands basically all comics were Donald Duck related or french/belgian stuff like Asterix and Tintin so I never got into the marvel dc stuff. nowadays I basically only read kill six billion demons.

@conatus

Kind of an iffy name for a comic 😱

@Sandra @conatus I wholeheartedly recommend it.

Is there an editorial or something? Where they explain the number "kill six billion" is not a tasteless reference to this:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Six_Million

Not saying it's an intentional attempt at being antisemitic, more wondering if it's that sort of cluelessness that people so far removed from this sometimes aquire.

Or, again, if it's been addressed in this comic's ten year run. ☔️

talking comics

@Sandra @conatus it didn't even come to my mind yet. (But I didn't have to click the link to know what you mean, of course. I don't know, maybe millions and billions seem farther apart for me than you.)
I don't think it's adressed. And I never noticed antisemitic tropes.
The comic is very "metal" in theme and presentation, and killing isn't an actual goal for the heroine.

@j12i @Sandra honestly never even made that link, I think because the contents make it pretty clear the guy who wrote it isn't a nazi. In universe the Kill Six Billion Demons is a Name of the prophesied king
