We’re all familiar with the terrible sealion which shows up at your house and is incessant and never yielding.
But there’s also an almost opposite variant, the drive-by sealion, which shows up at my own breakfast table (just as intrusively as its original counterpart does), but is dismissive and disparaging, is often patronizing or sarcastic, or angry, but when I do have the answers for its questions/comments, or I ask for clarification on its confusing questions/comments, it’s immediately “I don’t wanna talk about this more now lol bye”.
Often goal-post–moving or self-contradictory or un–thought-through. Never ever apologizing or being like “ok thank you, today I learned” or “I’ve never thought of it that way”.
Always treating every convo as a “debate” where they need to “keep face” and always with one last kick in my face as they leave the room.

Have you considered blocking them early?
There are few ways to hold boundaries on social networks. Blocking is fast and easy, and generally effective.

This weekend I've blocked so many people, including people that some of my faves on here still are friends with.
Blocking people does not feel great.

I wish I would be as patient and generous (and heaven knows other people who interact with me are patient and generous—I can be difficult, and I'm grateful for people who put up with me).
Or Psalm 73:
"But as for me, my feet were almost gone; my steps had well nigh slipped. For I was envious at the arrogant, when I saw the prosperity of the wicked."
If I wanna become a bodhisattva as I've promised, I need to become way more humble and kind and patient instead of the li'l hothead thinskin you see before you today 😭
